Fort Lauderdale Will Never Forget

If would be unfair of me to post today about Fort Lauderdale Real Estate, it would be unfair to dwell on the tough years that have been faced by many with the economic downturn that has faced our country. It would be unfair to dwell on the optimistic booster shoot I feel we must share with each other, each day, to remind ourselves of our resilance and that there are better times ahead.
Today it is only fair to see the inspiration, and feel the gratitude for where we are today. Today we need to think about all the people who were lost. All the families that were hurt and the opportunities that never happened for the talented souls that were lost ten years ago today. I am inspired by their children and loved ones who have gone on to stand strong. I am…

The Essentials to Getting a Home Sold
by: Marc Rasmussen – Sarasota Real Estate
Selling your home in a market that is flooded with available homes is still possible. Home owners looking to sell should use the following guideline as a way to move their home quickly in any type of market.
1. Price your home to sell. While most home owners value their home above all other possessions, realistically the price of the home should meet market pricing in the area. A market survey will show what comparable homes in your area are selling for, and pricing your home within that range will help you move the property fast. However, home owners should keep in mind that the price should be a little higher than anticipated to allow for negotiations during the buying…

Fort Lauderdale Waterfront Homes to benefit from Sunrise Bridge Renovation
Fort Lauderdale Waterfront Home discussions always lead to a Fort Lauderdale Real Estate discussion about bridge heights, and ocean access. Its been talked about for years and now it appears that work on the Sunrise Boulevard Bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway in Fort Lauderdale is scheduled to begin. This project is long on the wish list for certain owners of Fort Lauderdale Waterfront Homes.
The State of Florida has called the Ft. Lauderdale, 50 plus year old bridge structurally deficient, and the three-year project consists of demolishing two existing two- lane spans and replacing them with an extra lane in each direction.
The Fort Lauderdale Bridge which is just west of…

Ft. Lauderale Harbor Shops Will Become Easier to Find
If you are driving down 17th east to Fort Lauderdale Beach will may notcie that the Publixs supermarket which was a great place to stock up for your vacation, buy a few essentials for your cruise, and a place where many locals shopped is no longer there. Have no fear it simply has moved across the street to the Harbor Shops of Fort Lauderdale.
The issue is that it is not simply across the street. If you turn a block early you end up at Village East Condominium where Eric Miller and Associates would be glad to help you purchse a condo. I have heard directions given numerous times. If you are heading east turn, "after the hotel". "at the traffic light". "just after the mexican restaurant", and my…
Florida Court Ends Ban on Gay Adoption
Thursday, September 23rd, 2010 at 8:49am. 274 Views, 0 Comments.
Regardless of your political stand on gay rights it has been hard to be a supporter of Florida’s 33year old ban on gay adoption while children in the State of Florida still lived without a family. One government official said the ban was part of another bill, and the intent was never to cause what it caused. I don’t know if this is true but it certainly sounds very familiar to the way many things today still get added to government legislation.
Yesterday the 33 year old ban on gay adoption in the Florida was deemed unconstitutional by a Miami court, Governor Christ said he would not step in the way and the ban would stop being enforced immediately. This is a victory for the children of the state of Florida.
The matter could still go to the Supreme…

Why write about a restaurant on a Fort Lauderdale real estate blog ? Simple the owners, are clients, friends and we just had a great lunch on opening day.
I called a friend from lunch to tell him I found another place in Fort Lauderdale that serves Fried Green Tomatoes. That was before I tasted them, he will be there for lunch tomorrow, guarenteed !

Fort Lauderdale Real Estate | Happy New Year - 2010
Monday, February 15th, 2010 at 7:36am. 188 Views, 0 Comments.
It will not be a year that many in real estate will soon forget, but as the year came to a close we did start to see many good signs on the horizon. Please understand that a good sign does not mean we started to see prices moving dramatically in any direction. Good signs mean that we started to see signs of a normalizing market where buyers and sellers were more on an even playing field. A market where we could call both sides winners in the deal.
To help people understand the Fort Lauderdale market I thought it would be enlightening to look at the last 5 condominium sales of 2009 and the last single family home sales of 2009.
Today I will list the beach area condominium sales and over the next few entries will discuss each in more depth. If you are…
