Ft Lauderdale’s Swimming Halll of Fame developers are working on securing 71 million dollars to revamp the landmark and expect to discuss the project with the city commissioners at an upcoming meeting.
The largest Fort Lauderdale current project being looked at is called Oceanside Plaza. The plans call for Fort Lauderdale to take the city owned parking lot at A1A and Las Olas, and build a garage along with a public plaza and park. The plan includes a performance stage for cultural events and landscaped terraces facing Fort Lauderdale beach. Plans also call for a viewing tower as part of the parking garage. The beach entrance across A1A would be expanded to create a landmark gateway to beautiful Fort Lauderdale Beach, an area highly regarded by buyers of Fort Lauderdale Condominiums.
